In collaboration with Takenaka Corporation, PDW provided landscape design services for a new office tower in Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), an integrated mixed use development district located in South Jakarta, Indonesia. 

The design scope focused on the arrival plaza, ground floor surrounding garden and upper on-structure view terraces at the 7th and 40th floors while aimed to achieve the highest green building rating.

The goal of the landscape design was to broaden and strengthen a designated green office in an urban  zone and to create a landscape-dominated environment in a dense urban context.

Local plants are carefully selected to match the color and textures palette. Existing tree were transplanted and combined with new trees to provide maximum shading for pedestrians and plaza. To make irrigation efficient for all of the plants, we use automatic drip system with a rain sensor.

Walkway was also an important issue for this project. Pedestrian interests take precedence over other vehicles, so we plot the pedestrian path inside and around the site in accordance with the standards and to be able to accommodate wheelchair for the disabled.
